Redefining Global Power Through BRICS and Beyond
At the inaugural edition of ASLI’s Diplomatic Dynamics Series, we explored the evolving global roles of Brazil and Malaysia. H.E. Ary Quintella, Ambassador of Brazil to Malaysia, shared invaluable insights into Brazil’s BRICS Chairmanship and Malaysia’s pivotal ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.
His Excellency highlighted how these collaborations transcend policies and symbolise collective progress rooted in sustainability, innovation, and mutual respect. From biodiversity conservation to renewable energy partnerships, Malaysia and Brazil exemplify the ethos of BRICS—not as a counterbalance but as a coalition advocating for equity and shared prosperity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to H.E. Ary Quintella as he concludes his ambassadorship after five years of service and calls Malaysia home. We wish him all the best in his new role.
