International Conference on Micro-credentials and Advanced Modular Learning 2026
ASLI CEO Danial Rahman moderated a panel discussion titled “The Future of Higher Education: Is the Traditional Degree Still Relevant?” at the International Conference on Micro-credentials and Advanced Modular Learning 2026.
The session explored how higher education is evolving in response to rapid technological change, shifting workforce demands, and the growing emphasis on lifelong learning. Discussions examined the role of traditional degrees alongside emerging pathways such as micro-credentials, stackable qualifications, and modular learning models.
The conversation highlighted the need for higher education institutions to balance academic rigour with flexibility, ensuring that graduates are equipped not only with knowledge, but also with the adaptability, critical thinking, and practical skills required in an increasingly dynamic world.
We thank the organisers for the opportunity to contribute to this timely dialogue on the future of education and talent development.
