Championing Regional Dialogue: Empowering the Media for an Informed East Asia
ASLI was honored to participate in the East Asia Media Caucus (EAMC), hosted by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) at its Jakarta headquarters on 9 May 2025.
ASLI CEO Danial Rahman was invited to speak on the region’s priorities and insights, engaging with leading journalists from ASEAN and East Asian nations.
The session promoted open dialogue between ERIA and media professionals, focusing on shared priorities, key regional challenges, and strategies to support fact-based, balanced reporting. With East Asia’s evolving economic and geopolitical landscape in mind, discussions highlighted the vital role that quality journalism plays in shaping public discourse and advancing regional cooperation.
