On 8 November, Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI) had the honour of hosting the book launch of "George Yeo: Musings," a 3-book series by the former Foreign Minister of Singapore, George Yeo at Sunway University.

The event commenced with a welcoming address from Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Sir Jeffrey Cheah KBE AO, Chairman of ASLI, followed by special remarks from Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Syed Hamid Albar, who was Mr Yeo's counterpart as the Malaysian Foreign Minister.

The volumes of 'Musings' present an insightful collection of Mr. Yeo's reflections, capturing the essence of his extensive and impactful 23-year career in Singapore’s political landscape and his significant contributions to both local and international arenas since the 1990s. This anthology stands as a testament to his visionary leadership and diplomatic acumen.

In his speech, Mr Yeo shared the special bond that he had with Malaysia, and his insights on current geopolitical issues including the South China Sea, US-China trade war, Israel genocide of Palestine and the role of ASEAN as a vital regional bloc.

The launch was not only a celebration of literature but also a gathering of intellectuals, statesmen, politicians, and students, engaging in thoughtful dialogue and exchange of ideas.

ASLI would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to all guests and participants for engaging in this memorable event and contributing to its success.
